About Journal

Artha Vijnana is a quarterly journal of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics> It is a peer-reviewed journal started in March 1959. Artha Vijnana is one of the oldest multidisciplinary journals published in India. It has been publishing articles on economics, demography, and related subjects since its inception. From September 2022, the Journal announced an expansion in its focus. Articles in the areas of economic sociology and political economy were also included in its purview.  Artha Vijnana is committed to publishing high-quality research for a broad global audience of academicians, practitioners, and policymakers. The journal has maintained a history of timely publication without interruption for the last 66 years.
